FAQ

Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is Airstrip America?
Airstrip America is an online airport guide with comprehensive data from the nation’s airports. In addition to general airport information, Airstrip America provides everything a pilot needs to know including lodging, dining, car rentals, aerial views and other photos of particular interest to pilots.

Why On The Internet?

Unlike currently available guides offering basic airport data, Airstrip America delivers precisely what pilots need to know, quickly and easily, along with full-color photographs, restaurant menus and nearby attractions you won’t find anywhere else.

Because Airstrip America is online and updated by pilots who fly to and from the airport every day, Airstrip America is a welcome addition to the Airport Facility Directory (although no substitute).

How Is Data Provided?
Data is provided by the Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Resource database.

How Do I Find An Airport?
Type in the ICAO code or the airport name in the blue “Find An Airport” box.

What If There Is Data Missing For The Airport?
If there is any missing data, (frequencies, hours of operation, etc.) email , or check back with Airstrip America very soon. More information will be available as local pilots provide data. The most useful information, (photos, safety tips) will be provided by the local pilots who fly out of the field every day.
